It is hard to believe that this:

has turned into this:

He still sleeps on his dad.

But there is not much baby left in this little boy.

To save our friends from a fate worse than having to attend a reception full of lawyers where no alcohol is being served, we have decided not to throw a birthday party for Bodie.  Instead Dave and I intend to take Bodie out on the weekend to his favorite activity, swimming, and then home for cake and presents.  (There is a very interesting package from Bodie's pal Christopher and his PUs that is requiring all my will power not to open).

An unfortunate turn of event with our day care means that Bodie is going to get to spend his actual birthday with this lovely lady.

Our daycare is waiting for the city to issue a permit so they can move an interior wall, non-load bearing, not structural, doesn't even touch the ceiling.  They are fixing up what will be a new toddler room.  The work will take 3 days but they can't do it until the permit has been issued.  Dave goes back to work Tuesday and has to be there because his boss is expecting him to cover his vacation, I can't really stop work now that I started, so Mum is coming down to save the day or days as it may be.  

That makes me, Dave and Bodie this happy:

 So Bodie will be able to spend his first birthday with his Granny and hopefully they will get better weather than we have been experiencing.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIDDO!!!!
