We are home after a fabulous time in Mexico. We did basically nothing and it was great.
We got there on Sunday after an uneventful flight. Bodie enjoyed reading books and watching some videos then fell asleep on the ride to the hotel.
The hotel was great we had a view of the water on the quiet side of the building even though we should have only had a garden view.
The resort was lovely the desert landscaping was really beautiful.
Bodie settled in quite well. There was only the occasional comment about missing his stuffies and if Mexico was our new home.
Our days blended together. We would wake up laze around go for breakfast (which always had some lovely Mexican stuff). After we would go to the pool for a bit and then go to the kids club so Bodie could play with toys.
The first few days one of us would stay with Bodie because there wasn't other kids around. Then one day there was another kid and we left them to play together and we went back to the pool.
Then we picked Bodie up for lunch, and then we went back to the room for a nap sometimes all of us some times we would swap off and sometimes Dave and I would read on our patio.
The food was great. A different theme every night. Mexican by far the best. On the Mexican night there was a piñata. Bodie loved it.
Bodie learned the required Spanish hola and gracias. He seemed to particularly enjoy coming with us to the swim up bar for fruit smoothies (read virgin piña coladas).
We were trying to decide if we were going to leave the resort instead we rented a cabana (tent to Bodie) over looking the water.
We could see whales and pelicans off the coast from the hotel.
On the way home Bodie fell asleep in the plane so I got to watch a whole movie. At the end of the flight the pilot let him in the cockpit and he got to push a button that repeated a voice recording. If he ever says he made an airplane talk that is how.
This morning on the way to day care he asked to go back to Mexico.
