The first Monday I had to go into work and finish everything. The Tuesday I ran around and did a bunch of stuff. Wednesday Bodie and I went to the play gym, the library, and the park. He loved this little car and stopped often to fill up with gas. Needless to say he spent a significantly amount of time in the bouncy castle.
Bodie started to limp a bit on Wednesday (between bouncy castle jumping jags, and running madly around the playground). Thursday he said his knee hurt a bit. So I was worried that he had twisted it. His GP thought it might be that he had gotten an infection in the joint, so he sent us to Children's Hospital.
Bodie rocked the hospital all three days we were there. Thursday afternoon into the evening, he had two blood tests (didn't flinch the first one his hand had been numbed but the second straight into the arm without much of a squint). He got these sunglasses for being so calm. He then got an x-ray where he laid still and got a car. Somewhere along the line he got another car and two stickers. There was no infection but orthopaedics wanted to figure out the infection.
On Friday he was very patient as orthopaedics tried to get him in for an ultrasound. Four hours later we were sent home to go with an appointment on Monday and a prescription for anti-inflammatory.
Monday we went back for the ultrasound, then met with ortho. The knees both looked great and the swelling went down. Ortho was very happy and as long as the blood test for arthritis markers comes back negative we will never hear anything again.
ON THE SLEEP front, we are not having much luck. Bodie is still waking up early and unfortunately waking up once or twice in the night. Napping a home is sill only achieved with the help of driving in a car. Even then it doesn't necessarily go the way we want. On the weekend he would only sleep leaning against me in the chair. At some point we substituted a pillow.
This week, I went to the Spa on Monday, did errands on Tuesday and played with Bodie the rest of the week. We managed to go to breakfast and Yoga with Sarah, Emily and Sean (which had been the plan for the previous Friday). The yoga was great. It was not Parent Participation. Bodie did the whole class. Some yoga moves, some free-style dancing with scarfs and feathers, some stories, and finally, Shavasana.
Wednesday finished with a trip to science world. Wednesday at 4pm was really quiet, a perfect time to go to science world.
Thursday was good and bad. Making brownies good, no afternoon nap bad.
Friday it was back to science world with Sarah, Emily and Sean. It was chaos, but fun. Bodie brought brownies for everyone. I thought that we weren't going to be able to leave but these guys pulled up and he literally ran to the parking lot.
