Easter in Tappen

We had a lovely Easter.  We drove up to Mum's in Tappen.  Bodie's second visit.  We left early on Friday morning and made good time, which was fortunate as Bodie did not enjoy the ride that much.  The weather was lovely and we wasted no time at all to finally let Bodie crawl around on the lawn (and all over us).

I should explain that the necklace Bodie is wearing in Baltic Amber.  It is supposed to help with teething.  If you are really interested you can go to the website http://www.crocodilebaby.com/p-1552-amber-teething-necklaces.aspx

Does it work?  Who knows. Am I willing to try anything? No. I figure, he doesn't chew on it, he doesn't ingest it, and it might mean not having to pump advil into him.

If nothing else it sort of makes him look like a cool surfer kid (okay not with this hat and sweater combination).

THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE WHEN BODIE CLIMBS UP YOU

When Mum and Tyhson got home it was obvious that Bodie recognized them and was happy to see them.  The rest of the weekend consisted of lazing in the sun, going for walks up the road so Bodie could nap, watching game 6 of the Canucks Blackhawks series, and eating delicious food.  It was extremely relaxing.

Mum had the brilliant idea of taking Bodie to a friend's farm to meet some baby goats.  I was lucky enough to grow up spending a lot of time on my aunt's farm with goats and pigs and chickens and cats and dogs.  Farming, even hobby farming, is so vital to our existence and I wonder how many "city kids" ever get to pat a goat.  Bodie now has (though he may not remember).

On the way home we stopped in Hope for a bit of a picnic.  The ride home was much better for Bodie.  He did not seem to mind one bit that we were stuck on the number 1 between Langley and the Port Mann Bridge for an hour.  Dave simply fed him over the back seat.  Glad he likes bananas (Bodie as well as Dave).
